All year long
Joan and I have been trying to get together to create some more dishes to add to our site. As usual, life always has a tendency to get in the way of the best intentions. We finally were able to have a cooking date yesterday and decided to work on pasta from scratch. As usual we had our cooking calamities. I’m still trying to figure out how I got egg shells in the pasta. I think they jumped in on their own and I’m sticking with that. And of course, the pasta kept falling off the drying rack. Part of me was hoping we would definitely nail this from the get go and have a recipe up and ready to go today, but we need a just a dash of tweaking on the pasta. About an hour ago my 10 year old daughter came up to me and said that was absolutely the best pasta she ever had. So while life is not perfect, sometimes the imperfections in everything are more fun and taste better than the perfection. Plus when you mess up and make WAY too much pasta you have boat loads of imperfect yummy pasta left.
Stay tuned for more calamities and yummy goodness.
